Just remember that 1 inch = 25.4mm. Multiply the length of the strand by 25.4, and divide by the size of the beads in millimeters.

Example:
25.4 x 16 = 406.4 Strand Length in Millimeters
406.4 ÷ 9 = 45.1 Total 9mm Beads on 16-inch Strand
