Poco: What is your role at Poco Inspired?

Brenna: My role is to assist customers on their crafting journey and help them feel welcomed when they enter Poco Inspired!

Poco: What would you say is your area of specialty is?

Brenna: I would say my specialty so far is flat stitch beadwork.

Poco: When did you first discover Poco before you started working here?

Brenna: I first discovered Poco when a friend mentioned that there was a bead store that was not too far from me.

Poco: What first lead you in the direction of beading?

Brenna: I would say learning my culture lead me to beading. I ended up making a friend who beaded and they taught me not only how to bead, but why.
Ever since then I’ve been beading for healing because it is such good medicine.

Poco: What is the single most important skill you have learned and why?

Brenna: I learned patience, time management, and how to forgive myself when I just can’t get things right the first time!

Poco: What are your favorite materials to use?

Brenna: I love using materials such as birch bark, animal furs, bone and leather.

Poco: What inspires your creativity when working on a new piece?

Brenna: I have a huge love for nature so I like to honor plants and animals into my work.
 

Poco: Is there anything you would like to add?

Brenna: Uhhhh…be kind! Stay humble! And always be a spirit bead.
